Pokemon Emerald - Japanese version - Not working!!

Hey,

I am using VBA 1.7.2 and Emerald doesn't work!!! I have a GBA BIOS. Now it just runs with a white screen. The GBA logo then white. Even without the bios it does this. Do I need another emulator? I have tried two different roms of Emerald (J). Please help!!

Simply follow these three simple steps:

1) Delete your .sav file for the game.
2) Set the save type to 'Automatic' and 'Flash 128k'
3) There is no 3rd step

No, I mean the game doesn't run, period whether with or without a bios. It is just a white screen!! I tried your steps but no go.

Then you have a bad rom.

If you set the wrong save type, you get a white screen in all Pokemon games since they all use Flash 128k.
