Lately when using the recent 1.80 beta version, I have been getting slow downs in games like Metroid Fusion. The games will run fine for a good 25 minutes...then it will suddenly drop a good 25fps which makes the sound stutter and become unplayable. This even occured playing the game with the video on 1x! How can I speed it up (frameskip seemed to be no help). Thanks- minkster

My pc config is:
Pentium 4 2.8ghz
Sony Vaio Laptop
Radeon IGP 345M (64mb)
512mb RAM

I do have avast antivirus running in the background and i terminated the process, but the game still tends to lag after like a half an hour of playing it.

Try to switch back to 1.7.2, then reply here if it helped.

Yeah, some emulators are like that, they just don't like your PC. It's really pissing me off. I cannot run no$GBA at full speed on my comp at more than 2x, but on my sister's thinkpad laptop (win 98, 96MB Ram, 500mhz P3, 4MB Video Card), it works fine!!! no$GBA is a really fast emulator, but for some reason does not like my computer. Even though I had a bad experience, you should still try it.
