but...what's the problem you want to fix?? :plain:
if you're complainig about your emulator going pass the 100%,then it's probably because you've never used the speed key, which in that game, can make the emulator go to somewhat like 500%!!! :P
if i missunderstood your problem, then plz be more specific so that we can help you! :bouncy:
hope i helped in anyway... :happy:

I didn't use the speed key.becuase i'd know if i'd use it becuase it would go into the 500's.

ok...so you didn't use the speed key...still,your emulator reached the 101%,right?
well, the way i see it,there's two answers to that:
1 -> a bug in the emulator version (after all,you're using a beta version) which i seriously doubt,because that would be a VERY basic mistake in programming the emulator,and i'm pretty sure that VBA's company wouldn't do such a mistake even on a beta version;
2 -> a moment where the emulator used a little bit more than it's capacity, due a to a heavier pic or something like that (sorry, but i'm not the smartest person in this field)
no matter which the answer is,don't bother too much!
like you said,VBA can go to 500% (and much more!!) and it won't be for 1% above the 100% without using the speed key, that you'll have any trouble at all!! :P
hope i was useful!!any more doubt, you know where to come!! :bouncy:

VisualBoy Advance always does fluctuations in speed, I've never had a game run 100% exactly, it's always 98-102 or so.

Yeah, theres nothing wrong with the VBA, its normal for it to fluctuate between 90%-110%, or at least in my experience, unless your having any specific problems with the game then theres nothin' to be worried about :icecream:
By the way... Minish Cap is sweet... you should try Astro Boy also, its probably the best GBA game out there (besides the pokemon series of course... well the 'normal' pokemon games anyway).

Zero271,
Don't worry too much on the exact number. it is absolutely normal to have some fluctuation, unless the fluctuation is so big that it ruins the pace of a game.
I am quite sure other emulators of other kinds of ROMs (eg SNES) should have similar occurrence although they do not display the value directly.
Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks.

if your so worried about the speed like if it is messing with your gameplay then go to options>>frameskip and set it the desired number mine is set at 4 most of the time then got to the top of the frameskip menu and another menu will pop up. this will have settings like 25% all the way up to 200% then there is the other setting that will allow you to set your custom speed up to 1000% anyway that should settle things with the speed.
