Hi all,

Wanted to know what your best moment or experience is whilst playing a N64 game.

My has to be jumping the fence with Epony in Zelda OOT. The game felt huge anyway but exploring it via a horse was amazing.

Whats yours?

Rich

Resident Evil 2. Worst GFX than the PSX version without the expansion pack but it had all the FMVs of the other versions, some extras and nice GFX with the expansion pack.
The fact that Capcom managed to fit all the FMVs of a 2-CD game in one cartridge is at least amazing.

Playing Super Mario 64 - it was the first game I played for 64 and the graphics and gameplay were just so incredible compared to anything I had ever played before (NES, a little SNES). I really liked the first bowser level. Playing through the Forest Temple on my own for the first time on Zelda:OOT was also a favorite (gotta love beating Phantom Ganon).

Probably when I rented a 64 for the first time, it came with Mario 64. And upgrading from a SNES to 64 was very amazing. Or the other time when I first beat Zelda: OoT on my old 64, I remember I beat it on Valentine's Day, not sure what year though.

My favourite N64 experience was when I first played Zelda OOT.

The whole N64 was a experience...
My first hour playing Mario...
My first deathmatch of 4 players in Goldeneye...
My finishing moves in WCW/nwo Revenge... it's such a great console, a shame that it dies so early!

I would have to say it was my first experience of playing Mario 64 while it was a new system. The upgrade from SNES was just awesome, and the game looked so good. I was also about 8 or 9 at the time so it was just that much more magical. Using the emulator the game just can't keep it's "magic" like it used to.

Hello Y'all (Oh... Not original at all, I guess... )

First of all, i've been reading this forum from a long, long time... But I never had the courage of register, and post in it... My english is awful, but I'm trying to improve it... Sorry for that...

Best experience? Hmmm... When I finally went to the Forest Temple, because i was a bit frightened, and that HAND is the scariest thing in the world... At least, it was... Good times...

I would say my best experience has to be the banjo games as they where great at the time and still are.

Goldeneye must also be a best because its just one of those games u never forget.

I would have to agree with Gent Moderator, my best experience was too, when I bought the GameShark Pro and created cheats for games (in fact, I am still enjoying doing it today with GB emulators :) ).
Another fun experience was exploring the Zelda: OOT beta version world, it was so fun going into one door ending up in an entire different place with buged things :).

I'd say most Nintendo and ANY Rare game was an experience.
A shame was that they sold themselves to Micro$oft, and a much
greater one was that Nintendo didn't equip the N64 with a CDROM drive
initially. :( Otherwise Sony would be ruined now :D

Greatest N64 experience -- for me -- was staying up all night after work, night after night, playing Legend of the Mystical Ninja 64. Love that game. Or Golden Eye with my buddies...

Uhh..let's see now. I've had a few good ones.

My favorite one is playing Yoshi's Story all the way through... I know it's easy and all but I just can't get enough of that game.

A fun one was this one time my best friend (at the time), Heather, and I stayed up all night playing Mario Kart. At the time she was a lot better then me..so.. She beat my arse. haha..

Then the first time I played Tetrisphere for like 6 hours straight. I love that game so much. I miss it though.. Nobody sells it. Not that I could buy it, no N64. Pawned it. Emulation all the way!

Then, OF COURSE, the first time I ever played Mario64. That game rocks so much... And then I beat it like 7 times and my friend, Heather, needed my help on it. IT was the one part where you have to shoot up from a cannon to get on the mini island in the sky. It's so easy..but she couldn't seem to get it. Or find all 120 stars... So I helped her, and I felt important.

The end.

Would that be Drac's final form? I remember that being a slick entrance with awesome music.

I was always a Playstation fan child back in the old 'next gen' console wars, my best friend was a n64 fan. I didn't really start to respect n64 until I played Ocarina of Time... but, being a console gamer as opposed to a PC gamer, Perfect Dark took the cake. I mean, I never really experienced a quality first person shooter like that, well besides GoldenEye of course. But Perfect Dark was such an ultimate multiplayer experience, I mean, multiplayer is where its at... theres nothing better than hangin with friends and playing video games (well almost nothing)

When I first saw N64 and played it (Mario 64) I was shocked!!!!!

I was in Jr High and it kicked ass every weekend play Goldeneye with a BUNCH of people and also WWF No Mercy, the greatest wrestling game ever. Even the kids who were not wrestling fans loved it. We even took the N64 to a school trip where in the hotel, we played Goldeneye and WWF No Mercy all night.

Nintendo 64 is truely the greatest Nintendo system of all time.
