PJ64 no longer works on my PC?!?!

I got PJ64 a while back and it ALWAYS worked just fine! Everything was perfect but now, for apparently NO reason it doesnt. I get this error now:

Direct3D failed to initialize your HAL device ]
make sure you have a properly configured ]
3D graphics card compatible with Direct3D 6.0 ]

I get that when i try to open PJ64.

So I just hit OK and this is the next dialog:

The default or selected video plugin is missing or invalid. ]
Check that you have at least one compatible plugin file in your plugin folder. ]

Uh.. i do have them.. so i just hit OK

THEN the plugins options comes up and all the plugins are ALREADY selected so i just hit OK. THEN pj64 comes up. Alright. I select a rom (File Open Rom)
and it says this:

Cannot open a rom because plugins have not successfully initialised ]

Ok....

NOW WHAT?!!? I uninstalled and reinstalled, got new plugins and everything else I could think of.

I'm running a 1.5 GHz AMD Athlon 1800+ , XP Pro, 512Mb DDRRam, ATI Radeon 9100.

Like I said before, this emu has worked before and it worked flawlessly. Then one day, *poof* it up and died.

Any suggestions?

WOAH nevermind;
all i had to do was change desktop res to 16bit
