Problem Saving using the "GS" option (VBA 1.7.2)

I can't load games that I have saved using the GS option located in the joypad config.

I have spent nearly 3 hours playing Zelda Minish Cap using it and have lost all progress. Is there any magic way I can load a .sav file?

I don't think that the GS option has anything to do with saving, it's the save states that do this. Anyway, why didn't you save in-game?

I was pressing F5 thinking it was saving, F5 is save in most games.
Thank god its such a great game I might do a bit more exploring 2nd time through.

just try not skipping frame rates while saving in-game or else your previousky saved game will be useless.
