zelda input problem

hey. i've searched for this problem but couldnt' find an answer.

i'm playing zelda OoT, and i can't seem to centre my view on a hookshot point. this is because you can't move the cursor smoothlly. rather, one button press = 1 full movement of the 64 control stick. so my cursor can never be on this hookshot point. it's either above or below the point. i have tried moving to all angles to compensate for this problem, but the problem is on the vertical axis (and i can't move up or down)

it's a requirement of the game to hookshot to this point so i'm stuck here until i can find a solution.

(i don't have a joystick so that's out of the question)

here's a screenshot so maybe it will help explain a little better :p

thanks for your time-

Try altering the analog stick range in N-Rages Input plugin. This will move the hookshot cursor slower and more precisely.

This is no issue with an analogue pad.

Or get an adaptoid of sorts! There's lots of them out there, for xbox, ps2, gc and the n64. Plugging in one of these controllers will make life easier at times, too, and it's damn well worth it =) (Just not the n64 ones, they break too easily :p)
