Hi, I have my old computer which is a PIII 731MHz, 265Mb RAM with RADEON 7200 Series as graph card and Creative AudioPCI as sound card. And I have my new laptop, which I didnt really buy for playing games. Its specs are P4 2.80GHz 480 Mb RAM (and really it should be 512Mb), Trident CyberALADDiN-P4 as graph card (my friend says it probably sucks. its a integrated graph card for laptops), and SoundMAX Integrated Audio as sound card.

And since I'm here, I might as well ask. When I play Valkyrie Profile on my laptop, I have sound/voice problem. I used the Pete's OpenGL.

The laptop should be much more speedy in ePSXe, the radeon shouldn't be much better than integrated graphics to be honest

Pete's open GL i definatley wouldn't recommend for integrated graphics, i'd highly recommend his Direct X/Direct 3D plugin, that often tends to be faster on integrated graphics

Thanks for the reply. I just realized now that I got confused with the the video plugin and sound plugin. Since I had problem with sounds, the plugin is Eternal SPU Lite 1.41. I'll try the other plugins.

Actually, I solved the problem. Just used the ePSX core sound plugin.

Glad you solved it, happy gaming :)

To be honest, the other computer isn't that unsuitable for ePSXe, you should get quite a few games working at a decent speed

My friend's laptop plays those fine, and he didn't get it for gaming either. 2grz P4 512mb ram and some onboard SiS chip. Plays all emulation, from PSX to N64, just fine.
And the reason that your computer reports that much ram is because it's using approximately 32mb of ram for "video memory". I think, with those things, you can give it up to 64, perhaps, but it won't make much difference, since ram is pretty bad for video, but fine for emulation.
