Trading pokemon in pokemon leaf.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to trade pokemon from pokemon leaf green to pokemon sapphire using the newest version of vba link. Every time I get to the part where it says to press the a button to continue and I press A, then it gives me an error saying that it currently can't trade pokemon in different regions. I am at the part of the game where I finished fixing the machine on the islands using both stones so I should be able to trade.

I herd that you must have catched at least 70 Pokemons. If you got them, then I do not know what to say, I can trade perfectly with VBALink 1.6a and I am very happy for that :)

I'll try a different version of sapphire, because I caught more than 90 pokemon.
