what tools do i need to translate gba games?

what tools do i need to translate games on the gba? ive never translated a game before, and id like to get started into doing it. i know its a long task, im gonna start off small w/ Space Invaders EX. if i understand anything about what im doin i might move on to a different game, but i just wanna try it out.

You can start with a hex editor, but need a lot of more tools, mostly you need to make them for yourself... That means you have to code a lot of tools yourself, that means you need knowledge of c++, basix or such things...
