Does anyone know the plugin to stop the flikering on Paper Mario and how do I load it?

Yeeeep. Pretty much so. That's been covered in my sig for a long time.
Check it out "how to run paper mario without flicker."
Rice's plugin might also work.

Direct64 also works, including framebuffer effects in the menus, with no flicker.

Of course, on other plugins, you still have to worry about the "black characters in shaded areas" problem.

Top of the morning to ya, I'm new. Really new. I just downloaded pj64 and the Paper Mario ROM, and yes, there are mysterious black sprites and flickering. Is there a solution or plugin to solve this? If so, where can I get it?

With Direct64, all the characters have brown around them.

works great, except when some screens appear, such as reading the letter from peach in the beginning, it becomes very bright, and text is unreadable, and when accessing your health states the screen goes white.

If I turn off frame buffer, it makes just the border and the text and pictures in the status menu white.

So what you're saying is that I should use Direct64?

it works great, and I may end up using it, but I get brown blocks around the characters, like the transparency for it is not working

That has to be aq driver or video card problem since in the latest version I don't get that bug.
