joypad not working with n64 emulator

ok, so I'm playing around with Nemu64. I also have a psx to usb convertor for my playstation controller. When plugged in it shows up as an mp-866 controller, and that seems to work ok. It shows all the buttons and inputs. But I can't get nemu64 to recognize it, even when I adjust all the settings (I'm also having trouble getting nemu64, and mame32 too, to recognize the d-pad). Are there any utilities or drivers I should use to rectify this? Are Nemu64 and Mame32 just not capable of properly recognizing my controller?

I welcome any suggestions.

Thanks,

J

Try a virtual keyboard emulator for joysticks like ghost pad or joy to key and it should work without any probs. You could control your IE with these progs, too! :p
