Okay, I was looking for a store (in US) that carries nintendo ds (since most stores sell it at $199 :yucky: ) AND has worldwide shipping.
If I got to know any, I'd appreciate it twofold =)
Dvdboxoffice is located in Canada I think and sells it at $199. Stupid...
I'm just lazy to look on my own =)

Time to revive this thread, because I'm really in a bind here now!
Most stores that sell DS at the normal price of 149.99 simply doesn't ship internationally, and the only store I knew of that did ship internationally has them out of stock and I cannot order it right now.
I've been searching for days, actually, for a good store, but it's hard to come by. If anyone else has any good source (who knows?), can I have it? It's 1 day past the release, and I still haven't put an order on a DS.

I too am also interested in such a store. However, I have one more requirement which can be hard to find. I need a store which will mark the package with wrong value and as gift ;)
I think dvdboxoffice does this, but they are a bit more expensive than the rest and their shipping is slow. Also getting it before christmas would be half of the point.
-edit-
Seems like dvdboxoffice doesn't have any in stock either...

Good luck getting one before Christmas. Nintendo has said that they shipped all of their stock and nobody will be getting restocked before Christmas. The EB I work for sold through over 50 yesterday on launch and through our company, we're getting a restock of maybe a dozen more units before Christmas. Looks like the DS is going to share the same fate as the PS2 did several holidays ago, happy eBaying!

Crawling Ebay now...I guess it is easier to get someone to mark as gift there. I do not really want to sign up with Paypal though due to their dodgy business, but seems like I'll have no choice. If someones ships me a brick, are there any things I can do to do a chargeback?

I'd really like to find somewhere too. How long does www.dvdboxoffice.com take to deliver then? I really would like one soon.

you can report it to paypal and they should pull the money out of the guys account, or report to your credit card company and get them to charge back, but noones gonna ship you a brick, quit being paranoid :P

I've been ripped off on ebay, it does happen. Someone was advertising Nero software so I bought it and got a CD-R and keygen. FFS

Alright, but one last question...I read something about the Paypal protection only bein available if I bought using a paypal button on the auction. Thing is that the auction doesn't have such a button afaik, but it does list as paypal protection enabled. Have I misunderstood?

When you win the auction it gives you a choice of how to pay. Select Paypal and it does most of it automatically.

You're lucky. I've been hearing reports from all over the US of DSs being completely out of stock. Maybe you just don't have a lot of DS gamers where you live much like where I'm from there aren't a lot of PC gamers. *shrug*
Regardless, give it two weeks at best and the Nintendo DS will be nowhere to be found on store shelves.

I know for one thing that the air mail shipping with dvdboxoffice takes approximetly 1-2 weeks internationally.
Hmmn.... no DS before christmas, eh? Let's see how things are later, then, and let's see if some stores decides to drop their price.

Since our EB did so well, we're getting another seven or so from another store that didn't do as well.
How would a store lower the price for a DS? It's set by Nintendo, they can't go any lower than 149.99, within reason at least.
EDIT: You were talking about online stores huh? *slaps forehead*

I'd very, very happily pay $149.99 for one. Fuck it, I'd pay $200 for one.
When it comes out here it's gonna be £129.99 which is $246.10. So yeah, stop complaining about your super low price and go and bloody buy one.

It's DHL, but the price will be roughly the same as retail in the uk after the VAT is charged. :plain:

Yer, online stores. What I mean, is like dvdboxoffice has the price set to sumthin' like $200 instead of $149.99.
Btw, lik-sang has temporarily shut down orders for the ds due to unavailability.
The ds hasn't arrived here yet, so I can't buy it in a store even did I want to :P Besides, it's prolly going to cost like hell here rather than in the US. It always is.

Yeah it sucks! Got a bill through from DHL for stuff I bought in September. Though that was from Hongkong, not sure if the same would have happen if I bought from Lik-Sang Europe.
Anyone know?

I never order from europe, it's usually more expensive than from hongkong. I've yet to recieve any taxes and extra expenses from there, though. But I don't use fast shipping since it's too fuggin' expensive. I always use the cheapest and slowest shipping available :P ALWAYS
