View Full Version : A 1964 Plugin Problem!

I am using PJ64's plugins and 1964 falls on every rom.
I found that the problem is in the sound plugin.
When I run something I get a white screen and the programme crash. I use the latest 1964 but the problem was also on the older versions.
What can be done?
My computer:
GeForce 2 Pro, Win XP, Celeron 1G and SBLive.
Thanks.

DO NOT USE JABO'S SOUND PLUGIN WITH 1964. 1964 doesnt support jabo's sound(something have to do with HLE sound in1964, but LLE sound in jabo's plugin).Use azimer's instead.

I have another question:
How do I cancel the HLE audio?
When I run the game I hear carcks and noise instead of sound.

You can't, nor should you. 1964 uses HLE for sound exclusively. As pj64er said, Jabo's is an LLE plugin, and therefore will not work in 1964.

But what about the carcks and noise instead of sound?

use azimar's 0.4beta . if u still get crackles then ur pc is too slow.
make sure when u installed the emu u installed 0.7.2 and then patch so u get the correct sound plugins. 0.7.3 is justa bug fix.

raising the buffer in azimer's plugin should help a little.
and yes try the azimer's beta, if it works for u, its great(works for me:)), if not, tough luck.

It can't be too slow-- Celeron 1000?
The sound doesn't crack, It simply doesn't exist!
There is only noise!
The Plugin did work in PJ64 without cracks and noise,
but 1964, that's a different story.
And yes, I have installed the 0.7.3 on 0.7.2.
What's the problem?
Please assist!

i dont think u understood me before, it doesnt matter what ur system speed is, be it 1Hz or 999GHz, the audio will be like that if u use jabo's sound with the currently available 1964.
DONT USE JABO'S SOUND WITH 1964
use azimer's, ok?
if u still get cracks and noise in azimer's sound, i think u checked something wrong. my audio doesnt work if i check the one labeled 'faster with 1964'. uncheck everything, increase the buffer. see if u get audio then. if u do, slowly add more options, one by one.

This is an odd thing. Since this work very well for me.
No damn hanging, or crackling or whatever, just plain smooth sound. And, at least for me, when increasing the buffer, at least to maximum, the gameplay lags when syncing gameplay to sound.
