i am playing no mercy and everytime i am experiencing slowdowns every so often and sound stuttering my plugins r jabos direct 3d6 1.5.1 i dont want to change this as it makes the no mercy menus viewable and jabos direct sound 1.5 if any 1 could help it would go greatly appreciated

Have you tried checking/unchecking the option "Sync game to audio" in the Audio option? Also make sure you don't have any programs running in the background (ALT+CTRL+DEL plus Start -> Run -> MSCONFIG).
You will experience some slowdowns/audio break up from time to time. But if you experience them too often, their is a problem. Oh, yeah...and what helps alot (like mine)..update DirectX, sound card, video and other misc drivers. Haveing them updated greatly improves the performance on PJ64.
