View Full Version : how do manufacturers figure out you've oc'ed ur graphics card?

recently my geforcefx 5200 bit the dust from a power serge... i have oc'ed my graphics card, but it was at its original speed when it broke. could the manufacturer still figure out that ive oc'ed my graphics card? cuz it does have a lifetime warranty. its a pny tech card and i got it at best buy... any help would be appriciated.

I've trashed two GF 4 ti 4200's . They all died due overclocking , and i could change them at the shop everytime :D .
Ok , they asked if i OC'ed it , but i just said "no" :D The Manufacturer won't and can't really check if the Graphics card has been OC'ed .
