I have played zelda ocarina of time on project 64 1.5. I play it, and the rom works fine and eveything. But when I play when it turns dark, or in a dark room, it's so dark, that it's hard to see. This makes it hard to complete the game as easy as the original one. When i go to options, it doesn't allow me to change the brightness, it just changes the brightness to what it thinks it should be. Witht this problem i can't see any thing, this really bugs!!! How do i change the brightness through the project 64? I have no idea how!!! :(

You don't (only with certain video plugins like Rice's). The only workaround is to adjust the contrast of your monitor.

Is your video card an ATI card by chance? This is a known issue on ATI cards- and not just for N64 emulation. I have a Radeon 7500 and I have to adjust the gamma in the display advanced options every time I want to play an N64 game or watch some media files. Actually, for the media files I have to use WMP9 (I assume it's there in 7 and 8 as well, but not Media Player Classic or WinAmp 5) and set it in the program. It's very annoying. For some reason the lighting is just fine when viewed on my TV, just not my monitor. Conversely you can try using Glide64 with EVoodoo (not Hacktarux's wrapper) since for some reason EVoodoo gives a brighter output.
