About the C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch folder

So, basically, Windows stores some cache stuff here for faster excution. It seems to eat up alot of space and people are recomending to either delete the content every month or to disable the feature.

It can also be useful. I have only 4mb worth of prefetch cache on my comp. Anyways what I mean by it being useful is it can reduce the boot time on your comp. Here's how.
Click on start --> run. Type in regedit. In regedit go into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters
In there you should see something called "EnablePrefetcher". right-click on that and click on Modify. Change the value data to 5. Use at your own risk. It shouldn't do anything bad to your system though. It helped my boot time a bit .
