About the C:\WINDOWS\Prefetch folder

Do you guys know what this folder is for? It has files that are related to the programs I run. I'm wondering if those files can be deleted safely (especially for the programs I don't use anymore).

Meh...
It can also be useful. I have only 4mb worth of prefetch cache on my comp. Anyways what I mean by it being useful is it can reduce the boot time on your comp. Here's how.

Click on start --> run. Type in regedit. In regedit go into HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters

In there you should see something called "EnablePrefetcher". right-click on that and click on Modify. Change the value data to 5. Use at your own risk ;). It shouldn't do anything bad to your system though. It helped my boot time a bit :D.
