Hi,i am trying to put "motion blur effects" to Zelda Majora's mask and other games using 1964 but i just can't, i have try everything
i have try evoodoo 4 with glide64 V7 and V5,
and the glN64 0.4.1 plugin
but i get errors most of the times,
when it worked no blur effect was in the game
and with glide 64 runs only in window mode
I have Geforce FX 5600 XT 256 MB DDR
And 1GB RAM
Can Somebody Help me Or At Least give me a Clue...

get a voodoo.
Shake your head violently during gameplay. Yes, I know..I'm an asshole :)..
I guess Orkin's plugin will do it with a voodoo card?

nah, voodoo too old.Orkin (GLn64 autor)know the problem with the MB in Majoraīs mask. In the next release of gln64,zelda mm will have motion blur.
Buy an voodoo only for emulation.......itīs not a good idea

Motion blur works for me with eVoodoo too, but only very slow. n00b_patrol is right - if you want to see cool frame buffer effects (not only motion blur, not only in Zelda MM) perfectly emulated right now, you need to have voodoo4/5

I can't undestand why they don't work on the new cards, well i mean voodoo is not supported by anybody anymore and they are old, only 20% have a voodoo card,
i used to have a voodoo 3 in the past but i gave it i couldn't imagine that it will be any use to me anymore
Why they don't work on the new cards what they waiting for?
and this is not a demand is just a question...

The company which produced the voodoos (3DFX is the name) had got financial unstable , so nvidia bought their whole technologies + employees , that company doesn't exist anymore ! And I think there are less than 5% who still got a voodoo !
I really think Nvidia got no interest in some nostalgic guys who want further development for voodoo in order to get nice graphics to their emulations :P , you could try to ask , but I don't think they'll respond :P

They? Whom are you talking about?
If you wonder, why frame buffer effects does not work on modern cards as good they work on voodoo, I can asure you that it is just a matter of time. Motion blur is easiest among all fb effects, it's just blending current frame with previous one. Sooner or later you will get it.

Motion blur does work in my 5.5.1. It flickers a little bit for Zelda MM, neither fast nor smooth, but it does work.

I hope this effect is the most worked on. ( wink wink (rice))

I talking about the good guys like Rice and the others who have the talent and the patience to make plugins and emulators, they don't take any money
they do that because they like it, that why i say "i don't demand anything" they are the master of the game i just download and play, i don't know alot of programming but i know that is difficult, so thanks all those guys
so many
years have pass since the nintendo 64 release (6 or 7 years i think)and the first emulator(UltraHLE 1999) and i have not see yet the nintendo 64 emulation since then have big progress and i mean on the bugs of the games and not on the how many games is emulated, i guess it must be very hard to fix them...
anyway thank all the guys who gave to all of us the chance to have and Play Nintendo 64 games on our PC's, even if it's illegal, but why we have to care about the companies? when the companies don't care about us.
Rice We all waiting your next release when you want
(Damn and i start to write only 2 or 3 lines)

I think,he was trying to say,itīs why Gonetz work for voodoo cards, when most of emu users, have non 3-D FX Hardware.

All we need is a better version of evoodoo with at least multitexturing support

A better version of evoodoo would be great. I would like to be able to use glide 0.7 better since it has such good support.

I'm developing glide plugin just because I have 3dfx card in my home PC. I'm not 3dfx fanatic, and I definitely have nothing against NV and ATI (I have Radeon9600 on my office PC). However, my Voodoo5 will live with me next 1-2-3 years - I have no reasons to change it. I can run any multimedia with it, and I haven't many time to play games.
I think I can port glide64 to opengl and make it working on other cards as good as on voodoos, but it would take a time. Besides, I have no personal motivations for that ;)

That's good to know and I think all of in the emulation community would throw a parade for you WHEN that happens. I mean everyone would be using your plugin for every game. You would expand your market from 10% to 98%.You would be a phenomenon. A god. That should be a little motivation for you.

Just a little. It's not so cool to be virtual god. RL is much more important.
There is one real motivation - it would be good reason to learn opengl, it may be useful someday.

Money is more important isn't it? :D
I would pay for it if i lived somewhere near you, and had the money :(
But as you say, learning OpenGl is great, it's being used more and more everytime.

One of the better games to try for motion blur effects is Sin and Punishment which uses tons all over the place. glN64() is capable of this, but the game crashes before the game menu loads up so you can't progress any further :( (Unless you turn off the HW framebuffer)
Gonetz

Yes, Sin and Punishment is very cool game. It works fine on V5:
