People may not be aware that there are other GC emus around. Here's two:

Dolwin (http://dolwin.emulation64.com/) (April 9)
Ninphin (http://ninphin.emulation64.com/) (April 15)

FAKE:
Cubextender
Gamecube XP

Ninphin has even had some help from some of the Dolphin guys.

All in all it will take those other emus a while untill they reach where dolphin is at right now. Sure they are all promosing emus, but still they they are not at the level that dolphin is at right now. (This is all based on my observations) Anyways, most of them have had help from the Dolphin team.

Dolwin is a great emu, not only for the level of emulation it haves, and not too much for be an open source emulator but for all the docs that comes with the source of the emulator.

It seens that org, dolwin main coder, is making a how-to emulate GC, explaining many things about dolwin hardware(the docs that comes with dolwin source)

there's one good thing about dolwin, it supports memory cards.
I hope that one day dolphin will support them too (but dolphin is still the best)

Kiantsu, Dolwin doens't run comercial games yet, only animal crossing and bust a move initial logos, btw the level of homebrew emulation is nice, the suport to run comercial games seens to be new, maybe in not much time it will run comercial games nice :)

BTW of course Dolphin is the best option now, and probably for much more time, anyway keep your eyes at Dolwin ;)

Where have you heard about this from Veg? I've looked all over and the only info I can find about incubators and Gamecube lead me to sites that have nothing to do with emu's. A link maybe?

I downloaded it, expecting it to be a virus or trojan. I scanned it and it found nothing. But i'm not going to run the exe, especially considering that the image files in the data directory have the work FAKE in them.

Great one vegetable, being a tool as usual.

DOGG, why the hell do you hate me so much? Geez, I tested "emulator" it doesn't have a virus or anything in it. Come on, why would I want anyone to be infected other than pirates?

I dont hate you. But i reckon when you post fake screenshots of games and fake emulators (with possible trojans), you certainly arent helping anyone. It's definitely not good for your reputation

Up to this point I don't know if you both noticed that cubextender is a known fake.

You should remember that the name of this forum is "Dolphin" not "bad made jokes". It's good to have humour here and there, but this has got annoying already :(

I'll remember from now on to stay away from this particular forum. You should remember that the name of this forum is "Dolphin" not "bad made jokes". It's good to have humour here and there, but this has got annoying already :(

Whoops perhaps i should've researched it a bit before posting. Yeah it's a fake.

Removed.

I've been doing some research, and alot of other sites are listing it a fake as well. This in turn makes me a little more than leary to download it to try it out.

I apologize if any of the forum members are...irking you. I ask that you understand that it is just comprised of your average joes off of the street, and we dont have to take any eligability tests (sadly).

You seem like an intelligent member, and we can use all of those that we can get :D I hope you stick around, and help us fight the good fight.

(sheesh, after typing that I feel like ending it with an amen, whats up with that?)

:ninja:

(edit)
DOGG, dont worry about it, you just got excited (as did I), you were only trying to do the forum a favour. I appreciate it (as well as your removal at finding out it was bogus). By the way, what gave it away? Not just other sites saying it was I hope...

Yeah! The guy did a great job at programming that little mario kart game. If only he would make it multiplayer. Zaba, that emulator is just a fake, the guy programmed a game, and then he said it was mario kart, so, yeah. It's good that you weren't so anal about it like someone else!

What gave it away was other sites and visiting the actual cubextender forums.

I don't really see the point of posting links to other emus since all of these emu's are hosted on the emu64 network (like dolphin) therefore every new release will be posted on the frontpage of emulation64.com ...
