by an addapter?? right now it can only use one dimm right now.

but i have 1 more stck of 64mb ram that came with my other laptop base that i have in a box.

both laptops are compaq 1700 -1750.

I remember they used to have above board memory slots but I heard they werent that great. In any case, if something like this still exists, you would most likely be sacrificing more performance than you would gain from having the added memory.
