PuyoPuyo Sun problem

I've tried running Puyo Puyo sun 64 in Protect64, and another emulation, both they both got messed up trying to run it, but 1964 seems to run it perfectly! (well almost)

Theres one hitch, Im at the title screen and the game is displaying something, it could be no controler plugged in, wrong country? I dunno, anyone know japenise? :

Puyo Puyo Sun 64 (J) : I don't have the problem. What is your plugin controller ??? With N-Rages Direct Input8 V2 1.80 and 1.82a and Jabo's DirectInput 1.5, i can't have your problem, the game works !!!

I have "Press Start Button" and i can enter in the game...

I still have the cartridge for this, one quality fucking game, I must say.
You can buy it off me if you want, then it'll be working. :D

yeah, just tried it out and it is the typical "No controller plugged in" message. Go into the options of your input plugin and enable controller 1.

hybrid23: Puyo Puyo is a puzzle game series by Compile (defunct, games developed by Sega/Sonic Team now) so japanese knowledge is not really needed ;)
