Muting audio in PJ64

I dont know if this is the right forum to ask in, so if its not, im sorry, but I was wondering if it is possible to mute the audio by using a key press? ive tried a few audio plugins & havent noticed any settings. I want to be able to be playing a game, then say for example press the space bar & the audio stops, then press it again to resume audio. does anyone have any idea?

No need to worry, i just found a work around using the volume control usiong jabo's plugin, is there any way to bind the volume control to a key? if not it doesnt matter.
