... I just wanna know, how this new 50.xx nvidia's drivers are working on our cheaps Geforce 2/4 MX cards... I want to know before downloading (I'm still on dial up, please don't ask why) Guys, do you recommend downloading them or wait for an Omega's release?

The 4x.xx driver are better with an older card, i recommend using one of those.

How about the Nview 3.0 ? Is there a download file for it without installing the drivers?

Lex : False, the latest Forceware works WAY better on my GF4MX! I get over 10 more FPS in UT2k3 with full AA/AS, I can run VC at a Higher resolution at full speed, etc. Also the Tv-out detection problems is now working correcty(on all cards tested so far, my friend also had this prob with his GF3, not anymore). etc

And do you recommend to download now or wait for omega's?

Hmm, here is some interesting findings for the Forceware 52.16 drivers (at least applicable to my computer).
Project64 1.5 SP1 + Jabo's D3D6 1.5.1 = No framebuffer even if selected
1964 0.85 + Jabo's D3D6 1.5.1 = Working framebuffer.
So I'd be careful when upgrading to Forcewares. Some users report slowdowns with these drivers, so make sure you roll back if something is wrong.

dunno why it's not working for u, Framebuffer is working perfectly with Forceware 52.16 (PJ64 + Jabo D3D 1.5.1)
tested in Mario Kart and showing perfectly and, weird... never ran full speed but now yes!

I tested the 53.04 drivers on my geforce2mx200pci and pj64 and 1964 will crash with blackscreen but works fine when using the 4x.xxdrivers and 30.82 but i did notice some slight speedup with forceware.

you're on 98, using the 9x drivers, he's on XP, not the same thing. can be a different prob. I have a friend with a GF2MX and the forceware are running like normal with emulators (on XP).

Seems like the Forceware just mucks up the DirectX 9 cards and not the DirectX 7 ones. I'll wait for better drivers, I've already tried the leaked ones and they were even worse (VBA fullscreen was disabled).

by seeing everyone opinion, it is hard to choose.
Me,co_p3rth = yes
Clements,Lex = no
anyway, It's like you want. Try them and If you see that it's worst, get back to the old ones, if it's better, just keep them. that's all.

OK, finally I tried them, working perfectly on Project64, not tested yet on GTAVC... Also the TV-Out problems are gone with nView 3.0! There's only a little problem, somehow with this upgrade BSplayer is crashing when loading DivX content (whan the TV-Out is enabled)... Is there a program that is as good as BSplayer (with the subtitle file load option)???
