My buddy SculleatR from the nsx2 development team has sent me a screenshot of pong running in his GameCube emulator known as Ninphin. It is currently running pong almost perfectly, but due to some CPU bugs the counters do not work. No release date has been set, and it probably won't happen soon, because its much slower than dolwin actually and very buggy according to SculleatR. Check out the screenshot below of pong.

Thanks for the info SculleatR and congrats on your current development. Also stay tuned to Emulation64 for all your GameCube emulation needs. ;)

Nice, congrats to SculleatR and keep the great work! The GC scene seems to be really busy when only a few months ago it was non-existant.

Keith, I never doubted you or said you didn't know what you were talking about. :arabia: I was just throwing out possibilities. Sorry if it was offensive.

Anyway, congratulations SculleatR! :)

Thanks for the congratulations! :)

I understand cooliscool, I posted quite some time ago n00b questions,
etc.... I have learned a lot since that, hanging around with Emu authors
etc. was a good experience, also joined nSX2 April or something this year. :)

Everyone starts as a n00b. :p
I will try to get something more to update. :)

you may also have a look or two into www.gcdemos.com,
the admin (The One) supported me since I started working
on Ninphin. :)

*hint* In the spotlight on me by Keith at efx2.com was also
a secret emu in development mentioned. :D

This is pretty cool, good job Scull. If you need hosting for a future site let me know. :D

On another remark, it's good to see Keith post news here now that efx2.com doesn't do emu news anymore, you're more than welcome buddy. :)

Hey, you got it working. Did you use any code from the parser I wrote?

SculleatR
December 25th, 2003, 15:14
hey desk. :)

No, I wrote my own using arrays, but I still have your
YCbYCr -> RGB conversion code. :)

wow, you've learned the in's and out's of emu coding pretty fast :P
is the code based on any current emulators or is this project from scratch?

SculleatR
December 25th, 2003, 18:24
No its not basing on any emulator. :)

ps.
I fixed pong's counters today. :)
also Desktopman's chip8 emu works fairly well,
but not perfectly. :p

Have you tried Tetris yet? It uses mostly the same stuff.

SculleatR

No I haven't tried it (yet).
