GoldenEye Stability

I keep getting the following error after playing it for like 5 minutes... on any level at any time, even when standing still!

SP DMA WRITE
SP_DRAM_ADDR_REG not in RDRam space

I have already patched it but i still get the filename:

GoldenEye 007 (U) [o1].v64

when i rename it instead of "...(U) [!].v64"

Is it just a bad rom???

The Rocking PC Wiz
"[o1]" means the Goldeneye 007 ROM is an overdumped Goldeneye 007 ROM.

Was the ROM stable before patching it?

I'm asking, because in the past I had the same Goldeneye 007 ROM and was able
to beat the game, thus the patching may have corrupted the Goldeneye 007 ROM.

Overdump is a term for a ROM that has extra and thus unnecassary data,
just causing the Goldeneye 007 ROM to be 16 MB instead of 12 MB.

I have no evidence at this time that an overdumped ROM can cause crashes.

If the Goldeneye 007 ROM still crashes with the same error, even after you got a
(U) [!] ROM, your PC may be unstable. The power supply may be insufficient for your 3 ghz processor. May want to check the hardware monitoring and check the Vcore and other voltages. Pentium 4 Northwoods are probably made to have a Vcore voltage of 1.5v (stock and thus not overclocking).

BTW, it looks like if you want a non-overdumped Goldeneye 007 ROM, you will be required to download a different USA Goldeneye 007 ROM.

It was stable before, but after a couple of days I started to get this error.

That is when I patched it, and I still get this error... Maybe the rom settings are off?

Could someone post there Rom Settings for Goldeneye?

That still didn't work... I think it ran a bit longer than usual.

Could you post the rest of your settings for me?
