Annoying "Save As" problem

Whenever I try to save over an existing savestate, it just creates another savestate with an extra .zip extension.

For example, say I had "mario64save.zip" and tried to Save As over it, instead of giving the "Are you sure you want to overwrite this file?" dialogue it just makes a new file named "mario64save.zip.zip". This is really frikken annoying. Is there any way to fix this?

just delete the little ".zip" thing in the bar when you click on what you wanna save over

Alternatively, don't keep on saving as. You shouldn't have to keep saving over. Just press f5 to save, f7 to load. Simple.
