Newb Questions

Hey guys, Great forum I am really glad to be here :) :D :)

Anyway I just started playing a few N64 roms and they are pretty fun. But sometimes its really weird.

I'll have over 300FPS and the game goes SUPER fast. Other times, such as in Mario Kart 64 i will avg. 60fps and with random freezes, almost so bad its not worth playing.

I think I have a pretty decent CPU ( 2.2GHz ) to run this sord of thing. are there some internal settings i am missing???


also some games like Mortal Kombat just won't run smoothly at all! :(

-Turn the frame limiter on and sync gameplay to audio in Jabo's Sound plugin to stay at 60fps (50 for PAL)

-Games with 'Slow' are more often than not solved by Rice's Daedalus, including Mortal Kombat Trilogy. Latest version can be found here (http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?threadid=14823).

Games with the pausing problem like Mario Kart can be fixed by installing the Project64 Service Pack.

OoOo there is a service pack?? cool man, I'll install that right away and fix that FPS thing set it at 60FPS. thats decent enough.
