i know the rom request thing is highly shunned upon, but, the only complaint on your side is that they are boring. this being an emulator site, aren't roms what make it? what is the point of a great emulator if you have no games to play.

dont get me wrong, i'm fairly new here and i'm sure there are many valid agruments on your behalf and i'm all ears.

what if, say, there was a seperate forum where ppl could share info on roms? i bet there are lots of of visitors. that would also eliminate the problem of rom requests in your other forums (win win situation)

this site is about emulators, not roms. youll notice the content goes all about support for your emulator configuration, new developments and whatnot. if you look around at boards that allow rom requests youll find tons of talk about where to get a certain rom and not much more. not to mention the intellectual level of the audience :plain: why rom requests arent allowed .. its simple. the owner of the board doesnt allow it, so it wont happen. its easy to get lawyers on your ass if you support spreading roms.

btw, weve been over this argument a lot of times, for reference please do a search on the board and you ll see all you are asking for in terms of reasoning.

No. It is illegal to do so, and if we did, Emutalk would probably be shut down by the RIAA and/or the ISDA or whoever is in charge of protecting the copyrights nowadays. Many people before have posted similar threads, and they all end the same. There will never be rom requests. End of. Emulation is not solely about the games in actual fact.

Closing this useless thread!
