I write it down as GUI but pronouce it as Gooey, because it sounds better than saying the full G.U.I. each time :satisfied
Gooey as in Gu-I!

I say it "gooey" because "G.U.I." is too slow and cumbersome.
I'm not really sure where the pronounciation comes from, I mean, using English phonics rules it would be pronounced more like "guhee", but if you read it like a Spanish word it works...

It's like getting "scuzzy" from SCSI. I say scuzzy because it sounds cool, I say GUI because gooey sounds gay.

Actually in spanish it sounds as an english "ge" (like in geek), and that's what how i call it in spa. A spanish "Gu-I" (or "Güi") sounds like an english "gooey", but even I found that word pretty funny.

one time in one of my engineering classes someone referred to a GUI as a gooey, and i had no idea what the hell he was talking about? I finally figured it out after some thinking, but for a while i thought i was missing something. I stand by GUI. however, i do say scuzzy for SCSI, because it does sound cool.

Lol thats the most original way I've ever heard of saying it. But everyone I've ever heard saying GUI say it as gooey and I've always said it as gooey also.
Scuzzy, Lin-icks (not ux! or line-ix/line-ux), Serial ATA (not Sat-A).

I always say "Gooey", but that is Uni's fault because we're always going on about it. :P
