is it home, or pro? if i ever get winxp i want the home version. i just want to know which is better for N64 emulation.

well.. both of the os are great... just like people said..... but if you want to save money... then go for home version...

you said you going for home already... so.... enjoy xp :)

different opinions all the time..... some say sucks .... some said its great :)

Use pro, if you can. It is really stable and the speed is great.

i dunno.. i'd recommend 2k or xp or 98se

98se lacks stability sometimes
2k is pretty solid
and xp is new and has some buggy driver and compatibilty issues with software

i'd go with 2k if i had my choice

dont worry... over time.... more and more hardware and software problems will be cured... by better support... ideas... and drivers! :)


first thing for n64 emulation.... is stability.... which win xp excells in....!! :)

I'm using XP Professional, and I've never experienced any problems that I could relate to the OS, only the ROMs or the emulator itself.
