Blast Corps speed problem

When playing blast corps, in certain levels the game speed is like 100 times higher than it should be. is there anyway to fix this?

I know this has been asked before but i read the threads where it was asked and doing what was written didnt solve the problem

I played around with the settings for a while, and I found the optimum settings:

PJ64
RiCE's daedlus
zilmar's audio

Set at: Counter Factor = 3

It runs the best under that.
