GB Player questions

I've seen this GB Player commercial with Donkey Kong Country running.
What kind of filtering does this device use ? I mean, it must be really scaled and logically it wouldn't look that good.

Any1 knows ?

Actually it just blurs slightly but the scaling is almost exactly 2x2 so it looks fine.
