Hello everyone, I'm building my own computer, and need some advice. I've purchased all the parts for my system except for the case, mobo, and video card.

I got:
This Hard Drive (http://www.nexcomdirect.com/itemdesc.asp?CartId=6-ACCWARE-871206VCDYO493&ic=HDWD80728M)

This Processor (http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduct.asp?description=19-116-158&refer=pricewatch)

This RAM (http://www.buyxtremegear.com/kin2700512.html)

This DVD Drive (http://us-depot.com/sa16xdvddrbl.html)

This CD-RW Drive (http://www.newegg.com/app/Viewproduct.asp?DEPA=1&submit=property&catalog=5&mfrcode=0&propertycodevalue=3147,%200,%200,%200,%2 00,%200,%204074,%204098,%204118&keywords=&minprice=&maxprice=50&description=%20&srchFor=Lite%20On%2052x24x52%20Black%20C DRW%20Model)

And This Floppy Drive (http://www.abysstek.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=314)

I'm almost positive I'm going to purchase This Mobo (http://www.ajump.com/ajump/product.asp?dept_id=5120&pf_id=7840158)

What do you think? I really need suggestions for a video card though. I'm looking for what's going to give me the best performance for under $100. I was thinking about the Geforce FX 5200 but I'm not too sure. I'd appreciate any help, thanks!!! :)

The Geforce FX 5200 has got some serious bugs. I'd recommend a geforce 4 ti 4200 or an Ati Radeon 9000.

Is there a big performance difference between the ti 4200 64MB and the ti 4200 128 MB?

Well, the 128 mb is known to be slower than the 64 mb (see some benchmarks on internet).

More and more games nowadays demand more memory from video cards however. Would I be wiser to choose a faster card with less memory, or a card with more memory that may be slower? It's been years since I built my own system, so please excuse my ignorance.

I should go for the 128 mb one, because nowdays the games aren't using all the mem of your video-card and doesn't take advantage of it, but in the future there will be a speed-increase if you use the 128 mb card because the games are using more than 64 mb.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, thanks! Any other suggestions?

Well, which sound-card are you going to use. An onboard-card is very bad, so I'd never recommend that.

I'm just fine with using onboard sound. How's that mobo? What kind of power supply should I get? I was thinking 300w was fine, but I'm not too sure.

Well, I think a power supply of 300 watt should be enough.

Onboard sound isn't that bad if you have a fast processor.
