Since a couple of days ago my computer wouldn't detect any CDs that are in my CD-ROM drive. I have been using my DVD-ROM drive instead but I would like it if my CD-ROM drive worked too. Any suggestions?:plain:

You've tried refreshing (F5) My Computer? Sometimes it gets a weird. If not then maybe it's new CD Drive time ;)

Tried using 'Add new hardware' in the control panel? You might be able to install it through there, if you're lucky and it suddenly gets detected, as then you could select the 'Let Windows automatically find the drivers for your device' or some such.
Maybe you could select the hardware from a list if you have the model/manufacurer.
