:n64: When I activate PJ64, it shows Mario64 then under notes it has a line, [video] missing disolve effect. The game locks soon after I hit the start button.

Any help greatly appreciated

Are you certain that the rom is a good rom? Scan it with GoodN64 and see if it recognises it. (See the Misc. download section, search for GoodN64)

Try changing the video plugins and see what happens. You may need to upgrade your Direct X and/or video card drivers.

Does this happen with every N64 emulator or just Project64? Test with 1964 to see if it happens there too. If so, this may also confirm if it is a bad rom.

Pretty sure this problem is caused by the S3 card, and can be resolved by a utility that changes the AGP Latency (I think)... I'll try and find something about this now.

Couldn't find anything, but I know there used to be something :) and I know that the AGP fix worked.

Make sure TLB is enabled. I seen the same symptom when TLB is
disabled.

As for the missing dissolve effect, it works with Orkin's glNintendo64() 0.3.2b plugin.
