No, you can't.

(however contrary to popular belief they do not spin backwards.)

So you put it in and the computer acts like its not there?:ermm: If you do this will it mess up the GC disk?:ermm: Will it still be playable on gamcube?:ermm:

There is no point putting a GC disk in a PC DVD-ROM drive. I doubt it would damage it, but I wouldn't risk it.

Putting in into your cd drive would not damage the dvd.
However, windows would say that the cd is corrupt and
would not even be able to read a byte of info.

Don't put a GC disk in a CD-RW drive. I did that once and the whole disk was erased. When I put the disk in my Gamecube all I saw where numerous hentai images.

That's some super-tough copy protection. :whistling

/me giggles

Now, while that isn't physically possible (kinda like people saying "OH I PUT MY PSX CD IN MY CD PLAYER AND THEN IT BROKE THE CD AND WOULDN'T PLAY IN MY PSX ANY MORE BECAUSE OF THAT")... it is funny ^^;

But anyway, I haven't tested it myself, but soul said it'll crash your system (just a hardlock, not a BIOS clear like that Mariah Carey CD in Macs).

Hmm, come to think of it I crashed my mother's computer when I put a GC disk in the drive. That craptastic Compaq is so crash-happy though it'll lock when you sneeze. She and my brothers are always buggin' me to fix it, but when I toss it out the second floor window she gets mad. :unsure:

Go figure. ;)

I've had a friend try it. It just registers as no CD inserted.

Was it a CD or DVD drive?

CD won't be able to read a darn thing; tracks are too fine.

just tried putting smash bros melee in my asus dvd drive. The drive seems to recognize the disk, then when i open explorer and click on the dvd drive, it reads it for about two minutes, then an error apears saying it is a bad format.
