Glide64 0.41 Released!

Meh...

This version is a bug fix release mostly. Not so much changed since last version, but improvements are really nice:

Implemented Sprite2D microcode. This fixed backgrounds in Spacestation Silicon Valley.
Fixed primdepth loading. Billboard objects (energy cells, flowers etc) in Spacestation Silicon Valley are fixed too. Thanks Rice for bug report.
Coplanar (decal) surfaces are finally fixed, I hope. At least trail in Zelda OOT looks correct. Thanks Rice for bug report and an advice.
Fixed palette loading for color indexed textures. This fixed colors in StarCraft 64 main menu. Thanks Whitesnake for bugreport and rom to test. Again, solution was found with help of Rice's plugin sources.
Added support for custom game settings in ini file. Now, if you run some game with special settings, you can add these settings into the ini file, and then plugin will use them instead of main ones. Razile64 has created new ini file with best settings for many games, it is included in the distributive, and you can use it instead of default ini file.
Raziel64 and The Khan Artist have tested many games again, nothing seems to be broken. Check new compatibility list for details, many errors in it were corrected. Thanks to milen, who reported us about some errors in compatibility list.

Nice job Gonetz. Keep up the good work. Now i really feel like putting in my Voodoo 3 in with my GF2...

Yep, great job as always.

Man I wish I could get this V5 working with my GF4. :(

Using EVoodoo and Glide64 is just not the same as using it on a real Voodoo card.

Don't worry, though! eVoodoo must be released soon, hopefully!

In fat, this release is faster in almost all games if you have a low-end PC...
That's because is compiled using VC. Net version...
:)
If you have a fast PC, the difference is not perceptible...:D

WOW!!!

I got an old V2 from a friend, there is no comparison using the real thing with Glide64 or EVooDoo (current version).

There are so many graphic anomalies right now with a Glide64+EVooDoo setup that it just is not worth it currently.

Glide64 and a good old V2 do an amazing job!

BTW, Any plans to correct Pokemon Stadium menus and the few minor issues with Mario Golf in the near future?

For anyone with a non-voodoo card, Glide64 3.1WIP (set to W-Buffer) is the most recent version of Glide64 that is playable (doesn't have many major graphics glitches.)

However, Glide64 3.1WIP w/ eVoodoo 3.25 is a pretty decent setup, especially for those with lower video hardware. That's my primary setup.

Mcleod is working on eVoodoo 4.0, which will hopefully work nicely with the newer Glide64 releases (albeit it looks like it might be the last version.) There are also plans for other new Glide3x wrappers.
