Smash Brothers Graphics errors

I have tried smash brothers with v1.4 and there are a few instantly noticable.
1. The cursor on the choose your character screen is there when the screen is first drawn, and then disappears, making it hard to change the dificulty/character.
2. The trafic light background (i.e. everything but the little lights) disappears right after it is drawn.

BTW, what are the graphics settings that the average pj64 user should have.

600mhz Athlon
Geforce 3
512 megs ram

afaik the only way to solve this problem is to use jabo1.3 plugin...

btw it also doesn't display the "%" and "hp" (master hand) thingys in the char energy status thingy... does this also happen to you?

want to see a major graphics error? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the game leaves a trail behind of everything in gameplay, i think it has to do with my video card
