I saw many messages about .elf files and I received more mails about them.

Quick guide for loading ISO files with nSX2 v0.07.0

1)The .elf file are the executables of the demos/games.( like the .exe files in Win32 OS )

2) To extract an ISO from the disk , use Isobuster ( http://www.smart-projects.net/isobuster/ ) which supports both creating iso files from cd's and dvd's. It's a freeware version.

3) In commercials games, the executable doesnt have the .elf extension.
To find it, open the file SYSTEM.CNF in the ISO/BIN or in the Cd/DVD itself ( with Notepad for exemple )
Look at the line :
BOOT2 = cdrom0:\SLPS_000.00;1
( Note: this line is just an exemple)
SLPS_000.00 is the .elf file you are looking for.
Extract it from the ISO or copy it from the Cd/DVD and rename it "Something.elf".


4) nSX2 0.07.0 can't load and run ISO files.
You must do it manually.
Click "Load ISO" , and select the ISO.
Click "Load Elf" , and select the previously extracted Elf.


5)COMMERCIALS GAMES DON'T RUN.
( maybe if you are lucky , you can see some Loading Screens, like the MK5 one )

I buy silent hill 3 , but i can play it in nsx2, my sh3 cd don't have .elf file, only the .bin file , but it does not work! can you make a list of the comercials games that work in nsx2? pleaseee... or tell me some advice to how can I play sh3 on the nsx2.

Ohh **** :yucky: , i was reading some forums, is so sad that nsx2 can't play comercial games :( , agggggggsssss, I hope some day u can fix this, good luck and back to the work
