Can you make mpg or avi videos from an emulator?

Has anyone tried making some video clips from emulated games? I'm just wondering how I could go about doing this. Thanks!

You can do this with NNNesterJ - the NES emulator, and the results you get are good.

I think you can make movies with Nemu 0.8... haven't tried it though.

The movie idea in nemu is awsome - but it works the same way, say, Need for Speed would record a demo. Tis a demo, not really a movie. My guess is it records keystrokes or imput instructions, times them, then replays the rom using them as the current imput. At any rate it rocks and will be used much by me :)

Use camtasia to record avi's, if you want to have real "movies". It just takes a lot of power.
