Who said emulation was slowing down? The Emulation64 network is more popular than ever, and I'm proud to announce the third dedicated server the network utilizes! Thanks for the donations, I'll hopefully be able to upgrade the RAM on the main server soon. :)

The main server is on rackshack's powerful network and it (AMD Duron 1Ghz, 512 RAM, 40 GB HD, 100 Mbit/s) currently holds all sites except our message board which is on another dedicated server (AMD XP 2100+, 1024 MB RAM, 2x40 GB HD, 100 Mbit/s) thanks to my good friend Redah who owns that server. It's located in TeleCity in Amsterdam.

The third server is also a Rackshack server (Cobalt RAQ4i, 450 MHz, 512 RAM, 20 GB HD, 100 Mbit/s) and it is actually the first dedicated server we bought back in August 2001 and it powered the whole network alone without troubles once. With that said, imagine how much the network has grown since, taking the recent server troubles into consideration. :) However, don't underestimate its power just by looking at its specs.

The new server will be used for load balancing, since we've had some troubles with the main server overloading. I don't think I'll move over any sites, but instead use it as MySQL server for some of the largest sites. All 3 servers are running Linux, and our total bandwidth limit has now been increased to 800 GB per month.
