Everything was working fine a couple days ago. Then suddenly I tried to open up Project 64 v1.5 and it said the following 2 error messages: Direct3D failed to initialize your HAL device make sure you have a properly configured graphics card compatible with Direct3D 6.0. and the Default of selected video plugin is missing or invalid. Check to see if you have at least one compatible plugin file in your plugin folder.

This is sort of a repost but the question was never answered. If anyone knows what I should do about this plz help. Thx

I recommend reinstalling or upgrading Direct X.

Try doing this also:

Start>Run>Dxdiag
Go to display tab
Deactivate D3D Acceleration
Reactivate it.

I remember having this problem sometimes as well. I restarted my computer, and it worked again. I dont know if that worked or not, but yeah it did for me
