Direct 3d Hal

Direct 3d failed to intalize your HAL device make sure you have properly configured 3D graphics card compatable with Direct3D 6.0... Does any one know what I should do??

Well first of what type of gfx card dp you have?
Try restarting your computer and installing the latest drivers.
Restarting has always helped me after playing some badly written d3d app :p

I have restarted my computer and reinstalled/downloaded PJ64 and the same message comes up... Sorry for this little problem how do i find what type of graphics card do i have? But the weird thing is is that it worked and then my comp shut down then when i turned it back on the message came up from then on.
