Virus in PJ64 v1.5?

YES, as long as you download from reputable sites.
Some questions for you:
1) Where did you Download it from?
2) What Virus scanner are you using?
3) Are you aware that it could be a false positive?
4) What Virus was it?
If you downloaded it from the Official site or Emulation64, then there is no chance (I'd put my house on it), that it is infected with a virus.

3) The Virus-Scanner is one of the best.
He only found the Virus with the newest Update (Released on Friday)...

The Virus was not caused by the download of PJ64, try reading about it here:

IF you do have the Virus, then the source of infection would have came from another source (like Email) and then infected the PJ64 exe afterwards. PJ64 downloadable from the Official site is clean.

I thought so, too.
But I downloaded it 5 Minutes ago, to try it again.
While the installing of the PJ64 - the Virus-Scanner cames out again and told me, that the file contains a virus. So it must be in the installer...
Oh, man... I don't know.... I just want to play... :ermm:

Pretty sure it's a false positive then - if you have Heuristic scanning on in your Virus checker then turn it off and try again.

The scanner reported the Project64 Version 1.5 binary as
infected with WIN32/CTX .
Disabling heuristics won't do any good, as this type of virus will never be recognized this way. (According to Symantec)
All other files on my HD seem to be virus free and clean.
If the supposed virus came from any other source than PJ64, other files will have to be infected as well, won't they!?
Also I don't do email from within the box I use PJ64 on, plus attachments get filtered out before I receive mail, so an infection via this way is impossible.
The project64 installer was downloaded from the original site, and as stated in the previous messages in this thread it should be virus free.
I re-checked the project64.exe with some other virus
scanners, like F-Prot and Norton. Both did not find
anything suspicious in the binary, so I guess it's just
something in the code, which the heuristics of free-av stumble over.
Anyway, not to bore you, I just thought someone (maybe even the coders themselves) might find this bit of information useful.
