The GoodTools (there is one for every system) are used for identifying and renaming roms. That is to say, are they good, bad, patched, etc. Read more about it here (http://www.smiff.clara.net/utilities/rom/index.htm).

Thanks for reply :)
So does it make the rom run any better?
I take it good64 gives you info such as rom reggion etc.
What does goodwindows do?
Thanks

The Good tools rename your ROMs and tell you whether they're bad dumps, overdumps, alternate dumps or whatever.
GoodWindows is a frontend for the Good tools that makes it simple to use them. It doesn't support the newer Good tools but I'll be uploading a new INI to give it support for those soon.

No. As has been said, it only identifies and renames.
