newbie needs help (again)

Banjo Tooie problem is solved
the eeprom problem too

but now i have another problem i have a
Nvidia TNT2 videocard
and im running win xp pro (i have windows 98 too maybe that solves the problem?)
Pentium iii 800 mhz
ok now the problem
i start a game and its running VERY slow can i fix this somehow
like running win 98
or change something in the option
PLZ help me:cry: :cry: :cry:

What's the rest of you're PC's stats. If you have 128MB ram then thats your problem, Windows XP uses all that up by itself opposed to windows 98 using 12mb.

Windows 98 will probably work a lot better in that case however if you hvae 256 or more meg of ram i'd put it down to the CPU, 800 is fringe.

well i think the problem you have is our cpu, its on the tad slow side now, also your video card and ram could do with an upgrade.

But the main thing in the CPU it would be great if you could upgrade it and if you cant well i dont think there is very much you can do except overclock it but you might burn out the cpu if you dont get adequite cooling which you need cause it might burn out... anyway where was I?
