I've seen several screenshots of Zelda:MM with the blue sky and clouds and such... but when I fire it up on my comp... the colors seem... uh.. drained I think comes closest. What do you think?

What kind of video card do you have, some of us have whats called Digital Vibrance Control, it comes with GF3 and maybe some higher GF2 cards.

Hrmm... so the sky looks alright then? I just thought it ought to be blue and the clouds white (think OOT on hyrule feild when link is a kid) Bear in mind that shot was taken just after I git the wallet thing from the banker in that town

you have to turn force normal blending off, cuz the black lines in the walls are white on your picture

Here's how MoM looks on my R128 with PJ1.3

Link has mostly white clothes but everything else is close to perfect with the latest R128 drivers. (looks like those drivers coders ATI got to clear its name are doing some good.)

With "Change blending mode if invalid" disabled, I get a cool red sky, black C-buttons and a green map with no pointers on it.

Talking about MoM, I run into "Black Screen of Death" at random 6AM/6PM (dawn/night) events. I can still hear Link moving around though. Anyone else ran into this?

Thankfully, using the double speed song minutes before Dawn/Night after the last saved state seems to skip over the glitch.

Thankes Moonlight! See the difference between your pic and mine? look at the sky behind link... my sky looks dingier than yours... and I have no idea why... could it be my drivers? I have 21.88 i think

(I know moonlight is using an ATI rage 128... but... well is there geforce owner that gets the same sort of sky as moonlight does?

I think Moonlight is missing a layer.

Smiff,

So my pic is the more acurate one then? hrmmm... interesting

Edit: Yes, mine is the better render... at least accorrding to the "official" Zelda MM screenshot on the screenshots page, my intro looks exactly as that one does.... odd. Thanks for your help guys

I think archlyn is missing a layer as well : he doesn't have the symbols on the clock at the bottom of the screen. He doesn't have the little white pointers on his map either.

As for my missing sky layer, that's most likely due to the "Change blending" option that makes the sky's front layer opaque or something.

Without that option, I get a cool red sky and green map without pointers instead :

archlyn do you get those symbols if you change pipeline?

archlyn

eh? pipleline? I'm not sure what you mean smiff

Edit: eh... NM I get it now I think, lemme check

Edit: I'll be damned, Moonlight's right... WTF? I used to have a Voodoo 3 3k and it would be fine except for the red sky thing, even the little daytime pointer

(this is with the "Change Blending...." ticked)

Arch, Smiff means for you to change from external to internal transforms or vice versa in the graphics plugin.

Just to be sure (since it appears you lost your n64 cartridge of MM), you know the sky changes with the time of day and the weather. On the second day the sky looks gloomy most of the time cause it is overcast and raining. Although your shot says first day... your shot does look a little dingy. The sky should be kind of blue and velvet on the morning of the first day. It would help if we could see what time of day you are at. Hence smiff wants you to change piplines to see if the time of day icon shows up.

And you still haven't said exactly what video card you are using, although you mentioned 21.88 drivers so I guess it's an nvidia card... but which one?

Ok, disregard some of what I said, I took too long to post. heh.

Cool!! Thanks alot smiff!!

Edit: your right, I didnt... hrmm

Also I think it's just starting... I've notices that if I have the blending option enabled then it looks a bit better

Eh... speaking of 1.4, I've heard a rumor that this will be the final release of the emu... True? false? uncertain?

Edit 2: found the problem... I had to uncheck the Force Depth Compare and Force Depth enable and everything came back like normal

he does have something missing because he only has 2 hearts when the default hearts you start out with are 3

Moonlight

Maybe the third one (heart) got lost in-transit?

At any rate, sky glitches aren't much of a problem most game play purposes.

And I agree that switching from internal/external transform can help a lot in a few places. If I remember correctly, Smiff recommends the internal one for PJ1.3.
(this killed many glitches for me)

The third heart came back when I killed Force Depth Compare and Force Depth Enable... so did the day and night timer and the map and stuff so I'm happy...

and BTW.. GODBLESS MY GEFORCE CARD!! I"M SO HAPPY I BOUGHT IT!
