Well, lately I've had a problem with my gfx drivers. My tv output is all screwed up! The output i get on my tv is black & white, which is very annoying!

It's just that the drivers seem to be missing a function of which should be there. One that was in older drivers. With it, i could make the tv output ok. However, it's missing. If you look at the pic below, you will see where it was.

Now, I've tested the 28.32 drivers as well, which a friend of mine used and got it working ok. Yet, no luck. It doesn't even have drivers for my card here (the only ones missing, duh!) even though it says it is for it.

Now...anyone has any idea on solving this? Switching tv-mode doesn't work, as it's pal b or g, as i live in sweden.

We talked about this nvidia drivers problems in the past, I also can't solve them, I don't think you have problems only because you have a PAL TV, I also have the same problems here and my TV is a NTSM. Someone please help!! :plain:

I just turned it to horizontal span then pressed apply and then I clicked on clone and pressed apply and it worked... for some reason I had to make it a horizontal span first before I could make it clone...

I haven't had the problem the other two are having... mine is set to "analog display" (default setting?) and it works perfectly fine... I don't know if this could be the problem for you or not, but I found that if my s-video cord was not plugged into the tv fully, I would lose the color (go black and white)... make sure it's plugged into the tv properly...

Fekk, must we try older and older drivers?
It's stupid too since nvidia does the drivers we use, yet provides no support.
/me kills nVidia.

I'm backtracing until i get [b]TwinView[{b] which actually worked...

Those of you out there who are using geforce-cards (yeah, prolly a lot of 'em). May you check this i just posted?
Tell me if you have the option or not.
Which card you have.
Which drivers you have.

Let's get to the bottom of this... <_<

112 views, yet no one has replied. The only thing i am asking for, is that if you are using tv out, that you state if you have that option, what drivers you're using and what card you have. Nothing else. That isn't too hard, is it?

msi gf4 ti4200 128mb
using the 30.82 drivers

Yes, an option has been there! It even is for a friend of mine :/
But not for me...not since i switched to newer drivers.

I wonder if nvidia even cares?

I wonder if nvidia even cares? try "Tvtool" (get it at http://www.majorgeeks.com/showfiles.php?cat=22 (have to scroll down a bit))... when I had my display set to clone, it said that I had twinview enabled... maybe they just made it go on automatically when you select clone?... I dno, anyways try that program...

That app works alright. However, there is a problem. After 15 minutes, it disengages the tv-mode due to shareware. :(

EDIT:
Right, after getting the full version, this R0X! It solves all the problems but some. The only thing is that it sets the monitor refresh rate to that of the tv. That means, if you have pal, you'll get a refresh rate of 50hz, which WILL irritate your eyes when using output looking on the monitor. And it mess up the screen when outputting. But it's totally ok when just looking at movies n' stuff. :)
