I wanna bring some SVCD and VCDs to my friends house. He's got an XBox with his huge ass TV. Does the XBox support VCDs and SVCDs?

I highly doubt it. The only console I know that plays VCD's is the Dreamcast.

Cool so it should work.
If they actually play .avi files that would rule
Are you sure it will play a single .avi on a CD?

Yep, you need a modchip...

You need a bios that supports the ability to not reset when the dvdtray is ejected... if you want to play the VCD (First insert Xbox Media Player, then change to VCD... I think it should work...)

You can also stream files from your PC with Xbox Media Player..
